A friend of mine attended and said: “Of the 19 Congressmen who were present, most believe this is a real and growing threat.”

The problems with the sub-prime rate mortgage market have seeped into other facets of the real estate market.

What happened to all the experts on CNBC and other business channels who in 2007 said the mortgage and financial crisis was going to be limited to the sub-prime rate mortgages and those holding them? Their initial observation was that only a very small percentage of loans would be affected.

Most people don’t equate network infrastructure with the rest of the layers of critical infrastructure that have been recognized throughout centuries as needed for global commerce. They should.
